- News: Sadamoto’s Evangelion Manga to Resume in April

The April issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace magazine is announcing on Friday that Yoshiyuki Sadamoto’s science-fiction manga Neon Genesis Evangelion will resume in the next issue on April 4. The manga has been on hiatus since February of last year, and Sadamoto had previously indicated that the manga would resume this past winter. In addition to drawing the manga, Sadamoto has been busy as the character designer in Gainax’s Neon Genesis Evangelion television anime series and Khara’s ongoing four-film remake of the story. The Croatian Times, a news source based in Central Europe, reports on the food manufacturer Podravka and its condiment “Vegeta,” which bears the same name as a character in Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball manga. The company has no intention of starting a legal battle over the name, but a representative stated that it is not “pleasant” to see the “violent images” of the anime character in Internet search results, rather than the food product itself.
